Large predator licence
Last updated: 9 August 2024.
You must register for large predator licence in the Register of Hunters in order to participate in licensed hunting.
In order to hunt like a licensed hunter you must
- be 18 years of age
- have paid the hunting licence fee for the current hunting year
- have complied with the reporting obligation
- bring about the large predator licence during killing or when you are attempting to kill
- bring about documentation of a valid shooting test during the killing, if you are hunting with a rifle
If you pay the hunting licence fee on our website, you can register for a large predator licence immediately. If you pay via bank or online banking, you must wait for 2 to 5 days before you can register for a large predator licence.
The registration for large predator licence takes place for each individual predator species during the individual hunting year. This means that you must repeat the registration every new hunting year, or if you wish to go hunting for several predatory game species. The registration is free of charge.
