Share capital in a public limited company

In a public limited company, the founders have to pay in share capital. This must amount to at least NOK 1,000.000.
The expenses of formation can be covered by the share capital.
The share contribution must be confirmed before the company can be registered in the Register of Business Enterprises
If the share contributions is to be settled with cash, the confirmation may be given by a financial institution*, an auditor, a lawyer or an accountant. If the entire or parts of the share capital is covered up with non-cash assets, instead of cash, the auditor must confirm the payment.
