The statutes of a club or an association can be referred to as the laws and rules the members have decided to follow.
The statutes must contain
- the name of the association
- the activity
- the rules of the board and the annual meeting
- the rules of the members’ relationship to the association
- the rules concerning changing the statutes
- the rules for dissolution
- information that the association is a non-profit organisation (i.e. that no one can dispose the assets of the association, is entitled to distribute profits or is liable for any debt)
